Our Gemstone Olive Eggers are a variety of second and third generation Olive Egger crosses and backcrosses.
These crosses have a variety of genetic combinations and therefore a range of physical attributes. They may be black, sometimes with copper highlights, or lavender in color. They may have straight combs or pea combs, beard and muffs or not, and may have feathered shanks and toes.
They will lay a variety of egg colors, too! Our Gemstone hens may lay dark brown, olive green, grey, blue, teal, pink, or tan eggs.

About Our Chicks
|
"My husband Eric and I purchased four Black Copper Marans from Maeg and Sarah. We had placed our order late and were put on a wait list, so we felt fortunate to be able to pick up the baby chicks! They have been wonderful family members for the past month! We're grateful to Maeg and Sarah and highly recommend purchasing from them." - Laura and Eric
At Silver Fox Farm...
Our birds are fed 100% organic feed.
Using a clan mating system, we breed for health, temperament, and the Standard of Perfection.
Our flocks live in spacious coops and runs or tractors, and enjoy access to seasonal pasture or fresh greens.
Unlike many large scale hatcheries that cull male chicks at hatch, we love and value our roosters, and grow all of them out to maturity.
